Default LED Turn Signal will not work

I have had several regular bulbs blow out while driving in the rain, so I decided to switch them out for LEDs. However, when I put the LEDs in I get no blinking at all. I was prepared to live with the hyperflash (at least for a while) but I get no flash at all. Is the harness (or resistors) required?

leds are reverse polarity, have you tried installing the bulb the opposite way that it is now?

^^^^ first thing to check ^^^^

Make sure you repair the housing on the top somehow so water doesn't get into the light again also.

Ok, turning the bulb over did work.

However, driving to work yesterday morning, I turned the headlights on. Everything worked fine, but the headlights will not go down. Also the high beams will not stay on, just come on as long as the turn signal arm is pulled back.

Could this have to do with the LED turn signal bulbs?

There shouldn't be any correlation between the LED turn signal bulbs and the headlights not going down. Do the headlights eventually go down or do they stay up? Do you have twilight sentinel turned on?

For clarification. If you push the turn signal lever FORWARD, do your high beams stay on? Pulling back on the lever is flash to pass.

Headlights stay up. I did not know to push forward for high beams - thx.

Could a blown fuse cause the headlight issue? I am hoping that it is not the multi switch that I have read about.

Update -
I tried everything I could including putting the regular bulbs back into the turn signals. Finally took the car to a mechanic. It had one blown fuse and a burnt out resistor. Everything is back to working properly, but it looks like I will have to stick with the regular bulbs.

I did some more forum reading and there are posts about the low voltage of LEDs causing problems with the headlight operation.
