Default Finally getting a Corvette

So I just sold my 2004 Cobra and I am looking at picking up a very clean 2001 Coupe. It's already got a decent amount of performance mods done, so appearance is all I'm looking at doing. I've decided on a couple of things and I was wondering if you guys had some recommendations on what brand to go with over another, and/or where to purchase the stuff.

I am definitely wanting to do the flared rear fenders. I see L5 and Corvette Creationz stuff. Is one of these better manufactured than the other? Fitment or material issues?

I'm also leaning heavily towards doing the Specter Werkes "Group 5 Rear Fascia" since it's going to be in for paint anyway. Thoughts?

The only other immediate need is new wheels. I think I am going to go with the Forgestar CF5V in 19/19 with semi concave up front and super deep in the rear. 19x9 and 19x12.

Any thoughts on the plans? Parts or fitment conflicts? Recommendations on where to purchase?

--Thanks!

Congrats. No real recommendations, but I do love your screen name. I have a couple of ww2 Era Springfield as well as a Korean War Era Harrington and Richardson.

I had my fun with the Cobra. I wasn't planning on getting another toy until a buddy picked up this C5 at auction and is willing to let me have it for a great price so I figured why not?

I have two Springfield mutts. I'd love to find one with all original parts but it's damn near impossible considering how often they were rebuilt and moved around. Great gun though.

Thoughts? You asked. In a short time you will have invested $30k in a $15k car.

A lot of us do..some of us it was a $30K car when we started...cars don't increase in value. Just a fact we have to accept up front and you never get your money back out of mods whether it is $1k or $10k.

Can't help you with recommendations on the parts, but good luck if you do get the car. The C5 is a very good vehicle.

and he will be having fun and enjoying life. You do realize how much money you spend on poison (alcohol) every year, and the only return you get is dehydration and liver damage. Stop trying to tell us how to live our lives.

To the Op, you're going to need to do some real work to get that coupe as fun as that terminator, I'm sure. You'll see tons of info on parts having fitment issues, but hopefully with a good body man you can make it acceptable. Enjoy the new car!

The Cobra had just about everything done to it that could be done. I am downgrading power wise but I don't care. I am not really trying to be fast anymore. I want a car that is fun and looks good that I can put pump gas in. 😂

This Coupe already has a lot of mods performance wise so it's done in that aspect. Now I just want it to look as good as it sounds.

When I started looking at C5s I was debating on getting a Cobra. Glad I went the C5Z route, but I'm still planning on picking up a 03/04 Cobra eventually. Sounds like you are heading in the right direction with your Vette. Gonna be a fun little cruiser/show car.
