Swapping performance items and fixing issues, QUESTION
Okay peoples..... I will be working on the FRC all weekend fixing (hopefully) issues and making some changes as well.
So here's the question.
I will be fixing my broken oil pressure sensor so intake removal will be a must. since it's off I will swap it out for a FAST 92mm unit with an LS2 90mm TB as well. The intake has 42lb injectors on it, will I have any driving issues with those injectors ?
Do you need bigger injectors? If not id use the stock one. as long as your 80-85 duty cycle on stock injectors you will be fine. But to answer your question, you might run into idling problems without a tune.

just leave the stock injectors in until you have the car tuned and if you need them then swap out at that time... the car should idle and drive ok with the injectors you have now just stay out of the high rpms that way you don't run lean up top

Quick answer to your questions....
Not this weekend, but a few months down the road, I plan on swapping in some TSP ported heads, EG Whiplash cam and kit, headers and high flow cats.
That's what the 42lb injectors are for.
Shall I just forego the intake swap until then as well ?

if I were in your shoes I would just wait until you do the heads/cam and do the intake and injectors at that time... you're going to have to do the work over again anyway and if you do it now you're going to have to get a retune and then another retune once the heads/cam are done so it's just more money... if you want you could take your pcm to your tuner and have them load a base tune on it once you do the heads/cam/intake/injector swap that way it will run decent enough to drive it in for the fine tuning

Looks like I'll wait on the intake and work on fixing some the issues going on with the car at the moment.
I'm thinking of doing all the performance swap myself but I'm just a little worried about what it takes to put the harmonic balancer back on and torque it down....

if you feel comfortable doing everything else yourself do not get discouraged by the balancer, it's a piece of cake compared to all the other work you will be doing
Well I fixed my non working passenger side head light motor.... I WAS going to swap out the bad oil pressure sensor BUT there are a couple of items (hoses) near the pcv hose, including the pcv valve are connected to something I couldn't figure out how to remove... So for ALL of you that state, I can remove my intake in 20 minutes...... I call BS !!!
There's 2 lines on the passenger side of the intake that don't move very much then that one connection near the TB.... YEAH RIGHT.... 20 minutes !

Some of us have removed the air pump and hoses along with the coolant by-pass on the throttle body, I'm fairly certain I could remove mine in 20 minutes or so, but I am retired and have all the time in the world. I also did the relocate so I can change the sensor in less than ten minutes.
