Headlights will not turn on
A FRIEND OF MINE VISITED THIS WEEK AND WHEN HE ARRIVED THE HEADLIGHTS ON HIS '99 CONVERTIBLE WOULD NOT TURN ON OR POP UP. WE CHECKED ALL THE OBVIOUS, CIRCUIT BREAKERS, FUSES, AND RELAYS. WE CHECKED FOR ANY BROKEN WIRES, AND LOOSE CONNECTIONS. THE LIGHTS WILL COME ON WHEN THE SWITCH HANDLE IS PULLED BACK IN THE "FLASH" POSITION, BUT THAT IS THE ONLY WAY THEY WILL COME ON. TAILLIGHTS, FOG LIGHTS, DRL LIGHTS, AND PARK LIGHTS ALL FUNCTION. ANY OTHER IDEAS? WHAT ABOUT THE HEADLIGHT CONTROL MODULE? THANKS TO ANY WHO RESPOND WITH IDEAS.

I had a similar issue with my c5 several years ago, it turned out that the multi-functional switch (the steering column switch) went bad. Replaced it myself and the problem went away.
