97-04 Chevy Corvette C5 Dual LED Halo Rims Black Headlights Projector Head Lamps
Those are DEPO lights. Lots of discussion threads on them going back many years. I bought a pair of these lights a few years ago to try as I liked the halo ring look. Bottom line = biggest pieces of crap EVER! Not worth $20 IMHO. They are so cheaply made you will laugh when you see them up close. No instructions, no hardware, poor fitment, laughable optics and aiming adjustment - the list goes on and on. Save your money and time and temper. If you must have fixed headlights, go with Radio Flyer's lights.
yes they are depo lights , my 02 Z came with them on the car, I hated them so much but there are a few positives as to why some people get them
-much lighter then the stock assemblies
-less moving parts-less things to break etc...
-the light output is a little better then stock
-they create less drag compared to the OEM's when open
When tinted black or painted to match the color of the car they are not that bad looking, they've grown on me somewhat , but its true what YLO Z06 says, they are very cheaply made, they develop cracks on the lens very often, hard to adjust them, (my high beams shoot straight up into the sky)
I for one purchased a used OEM set to swap back into place of my depo's
When I first got my car I truly despised the depos, I literally took a can of black spray tint and sprayed them black as a desperate attempt to make them less ugly
Its weird though, after I lowered the car, added some aggressive fitting wheels and added plastic tint to the taillights and signals , it all started to flow much better ...id say they became tolerable
But nonetheless im still swapping them out for the OEM's when I have a chance
I read this thread and clicked the link by GCG to find that the vendor used pictures of my car in his eBay add....I guess your pics are free game once posted on public forum? I only noticed when I went back to close the browser about an hour later. My headlights in the picture were made by Specter Werkes although I did later replace them with Depo projectors without halos. That being said I didn't purchase them from this eBay vendor either.
I ran them without the halo lights for a few years. Only down side I had is you can't aim them side to side only up and down. I even took them apart to try and manually adjust them side to side with no luck not sure if they are all like that but I had 1 light pointing straight and another across to the other side of the car slightly. Still better then stock lights and better made then the RF SLC v3's on my car now.
