Default 02 Z06 random electrical issues

ok guys/gals, my 02 z has been acting funny out of nowhere. Not sure exactly what triggered it but the other day I received the "low engine oil" indication. Checked my oil, it was about average, added a little more just in case. Now it reads high and i get the intermittent notification every few start ups. on to the next issue. I was unable to unlock my doors with my key fob or bring my windows up/down for the first few minutes. After I drive it for a bit, all works as advertised. If i let it sit over night, it all starts back over.

With that being said, I seen some post about an exposed wire going through the accordion looking boot on the drivers door. Could that be the culprit? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Also, within the first few minutes of driving, the doors will lock/unlock on there own ever 20ish seconds or so.

How's your battery? Low voltage causes some issues with these cars.

I believe the battery is good. I haven't checked it lately but it's a red top less than a year old. Just changed the starter on it a few days ago.

battery tested good. Ensured everything was snug on the starter. Still having the same issues with the key fob and windows.

Dirty grounds will cause all sorts of electrical problems. Do a search on You tube some good info there.

There is a ground on the back of your drivers side head. That little MF'r gave me hell as it wiggled loose over time. Caused different issues, including the low oil light.

There are several really good DIY ground cleaning threads on here. I read through those and thats how I tracked it down. I think your problem lies w/ the grounds.
