Default Traction control

So when I turn traction control off it almost seems I have a new found
amount of power car pulls very hard. Does anyone know how much power is taken away with traction control turned on ??

Whatever power the car deems necessary to stop the tires from breaking loose. It depends on too many variables to give a number.....street condition/type, temperature, tires etc.

one of the things it does is retard the timing !!!! When I first got mine and would floor in first or second I thought what a dog. Felt like something was holding it back, read up on the TC and turned it off. Then floored it in the first two gears and it just lit up the tires. I still leave it on !!

I will put mine in Competitive Driving mode if I'm getting aggressive, which still keep traction control active but allows more spin than normal. Rear tires are expensive and I prefer to not smoke them very much so I hardly ever turn traction control off.

Correction..... competitive driving mode turns off TC but keeps active handling engaged

I too leave the TC on most of the time. But its fun every now and then to burn some rubber!

Thanks for the clarification, I wasn't totally sure what it was but I could tell it kicked in when the car started getting sideways

Per owners manual !!

Traction Control System (TCS)
Your vehicle has a traction control system called TCS
that limits wheel spin. This is especially useful in
slippery road conditions. The system operates only if it
senses that the rear wheels are spinning too much or are
beginning to lose traction. When this happens, the
system works the rear brakes and reduces engine power
(by closing the throttle and managing engine spark) to
limit wheel spin.
