Default Request for Information????

I have 2 questions about my Z06:

1. What is the best Oil Filter to use?
2. What size socket for wheel lugs as well as torque?

Not sure on the wheel lug size, I think it is pretty standard (I can check later if nobody pipes in). The torque, if memory serves my right, is 100 lbs/feet. I read it somewhere in the owner's manual.

As for the filter, I prefer Mobil 1 oil filters for their superior filtering capabilities but they are a little pricey (around $10). Nothing compared to the price of the car though and I think you should buy the best filter you can as it is the only thing preventing particles in the oil from wearing out your engine over time.

Hope this helps!

19 mm and 100 ft/lbs... no better way to be consistant with our standards of measure than to go and do something like that. I wish the United States would use on or another... anything but both.

Suggest a deep-well socket for the lugnuts. An 18 inch breaker bar make removing the lugnuts really easy.

As for the torque setting, a good approach is a three step tightning sequence 40, 70, 100; applied in a star pattern.
