If you can afford the C7Z06 and love speed, go for it. If you can't afford it and the base C5 is all you can afford, you'll be getting a very good bang for your buck. But be realistic.

Then, it becomes about traction and driver skill.
Many options are available, with a C5....

The C5, in stock form, is a pretty quick car considering how old the LS1 is now. It will put u back in the seat but not how a 650HP C7Z will. Ofcourse u can always add a supercharger or turbos and make some serious power. Fastest car I rode in is my dads old 89 mustang that he built. Idk all the specs but it made over 750 to the wheels naturally aspirated. That thing blasted off like a rocket. Such a rush riding in that beast!

How much power does one really need anyway. For the street what the hell are you going to do with 400+ HP. You simply cannot use it. Either you will rack up a huge collection of tickets or bang into something or skid off the road. Why bother?
