Can anyone recommend a good Corvette repair shop in the Baton Rouge area? I got caught recently with a broken shifter cable and had to take it to a local dealer.
FWIW my local shop did my busted cable no prob. At about 1/2 of dealer cost. My experience is there is usually a good reliable local shop right nearby if you look. Ask the hot rod guys..Corvettes are just nuts and bolts and don't always require a dedicated "corvette" shop.
My guy "HonestLee" in Boulder city is a gem. He traced and fixed a bad connection on my trac system the other day (nasty symptoms, flashing lights reduced power smoke bombs yada, scared the hell out of me)the bill was $80. probably woulda been 8 bills at the Stealership..
..anyway there is probably a good local and trustworthy shop in your area without going to the dealership. Good Luck !!

I've brought it up several times and don't mind bringing it up again....
Would love to have a sticky/section or what ever you want to call it where you could look and find a vette mechanic/shop in your area and/or state. Would be good to list great places to have your car worked on and places to avoid. Anyway just my thoughts for what it's worth.
Good luck with your search and let us know if you find someone good, for future reference
