what do you think?
1) Clean interior and exterior
2) Change oil and flush clutch and brake fluid (I drive ~20K miles annually)
3) Fill gas tank
4) Park on carpet squares
5) Attach battery tender
6) Chock wheels (put note on speedometer stating wheels are chocked and battery tender attached)
7) Put transmission in neutral (takes pressure off the shifter centering spring)
8) Leave parking brake off (If somehow the parking brake system manages to corrode and become non functional, I can still drive the car until fixed.)
As far as pulling in or backing in, I back in. I position the passenger side of the car as close to the wall as possible to give me a little extra room in the garage for the snow blower etc.
I don't remove my tires for winter storage, I just add a couple of pounds of pressure. Not sure that's even necessary. I park on pieces of carpet remnants. Battery tender, dryer sheets and irish spring soap distributed about to gross out any mice, and I'm done.
