Have a c5..........Thinking about a front carbon fiber splitter...Looking at a C5R...What do you think? And who sells a good one? Do you have any pics?
I think the splitter looks great. Just wish I could get in my driveway with one on the car.
Yep...that's why I had a concrete company come out and cut the curb into my driveway. Had to redo the last 12' or so of the asphalt to regrade it to the road level. Now not only can I get my Vette in no problem but I don't knock my fillings out in my DD's going in and out of the drive. HATED that stupid curb. No idea why the built it that way, but every drive in our sub is that way...except mine, that is
I put the c5r on my 97. I do not have any real issues with bottoming but did experience higher temps. I wound up extending down my front air dam the same distance that I lost with the splitter. This brought my temps back to pre splitter days but that extended piece does scrape and bottom on occasion. Not a big deal to me since my car is not a DD and you cant see the extended dam unless you are looking for it. The look of the splitter in my opinion makes up for the annoyance of scraping once in a while. I bought mine from Corvette Creationz out in California.
