Default LED change over

My left DRL keeps blowing out (shatters to be exact), so after some research I am thinking of just switching over to LED's.
I am looking at Radio flyer Innovations complete Cree conversion kit and just replace everything over LED. They have the option between the Cree High Powered Amber or the V6 Swtich back LED for the front DRL/blinker.
I am leaning towards the Switchback, but since all the other LED's are Cree, I am wondering if it would not be better just to stick with all the same.
Any thoughts on the switchbacks vs the Cree High powered version? Are they about the same brightness, does one function better over the other? Any experiences would be nice before I place my order.

Before you invest in LED lights, you need to fix the leak in the light housing. The incandescent bulbs melt and crack the housing. When water intrudes, the bulb explodes.

If you open the hood and look at the top of the turn signal housing, you'll see what I'm talking about.

As far as LED choice, I cannot help.

As far as the DRLs I would go with switchbacks. I have them and am very pleased with them.

I also had to change my front housings because of the burnt holes.

Good luck with your decision.

Yes. I plan on fixing the damage to the housing.. if it can not be fixed, then I will replace it. Just wanted to get more information on the LED's.
But thanks for the information.

That is a common problem when running regular DRL bulbs on the C5.

I'd recommend the Gen 6 switchbacks. I just replaced my Gen4's with the Gen 6's a couple of months ago. Big difference in brightness. I changed over to Radioflyers ACA HID's, DRL switchbacks/housings and HID fog lamps a few years back with no problems.

If your looking for hassle free conversion, using Radioflyer is my recommendation. Stand up forum vendor, quality products, and great customer service. All his stuff is proven to function on the C5, more expensive than sourcing the stuff yourself via other internet sites but you get what you pay for.

FYI, the Switchback DRL's in the pic below are the old Gen4's I don't have an updated Gen6 switchback pic yet.

Here is what you will find. Fix that first. I installed new housings.
