I don't like my skinny 5's, but I like them more than the wagons. The C5 Z06 wheels are not only good looking, but are actually an amazing wheel (real Italian ones, not replica garbage). I will eventually get a set for my car when my tires are done.

Default Different Look for Wagon Wheels

How about these wagon wheels? I cut these inserts from carbon fiber vinyl for my C4 and another forum member's C5. PM me if you want more info.

They are the OEM wheels (not chrome) just as they were taken off my car about 5 years ago, complete with tires (done) and TPMS sensors - still working at the time. I replaced them with 18/19 ZR1 replicas. Lowered the car a touch to get rid of some of the space over the wheels, and IMO it looks good.

I guess I'll just have to go with the chrome WWs and go to bigger tires to take up some of the space in the wheels wells....

If you're wanting to take up space in the wheel wells, why not just lower the car on the stock bolts? Can't say I'd recommend putting on larger tires for no other reason than to take up space. It'll not only look goofy, but you'll also decrease performance as the larger tires will be heavier and also change your effective gear ratio.

Never hated on the ww like some do, but there are definitely better looking choices. Unless you are trying to score wheels for very cheap, look at the OEM Z-06 wheels...can be had for well under a grand for a nice set, look great and quality is top notch. Just gotta keep looking for when they come up for sale...

I'm thinking of going a bit wider, and maybe up one number on the aspect ratio...it isn't like I'm going to a 55 or 60 aspect on the sidewall...THAT would look goofy...I doubt you'd even be able to tell I've got different sized tires on with what I want to do......

If you go wider AND bump the aspect ratio, it's going to be very noticeable. Typically people increase one and decrease the other to try to keep the overall diameter consistent. If you get too far off course on the OD with one axle, you could also end up with error messages on your dash.

Seems to be a pile-on to hate Wagons, I never saw ugly..guaranteed someday they will be desirable for restoration.

With the magnesium as an option along with the skinny 5, I doubt it. Unless you are restoring a base with NO options, then maybe.

I understand your point, but I'm thinking of the old Rally wheels and the like that we used to just toss away..pretty sure someday (50 yr from now?) they could have value.

Believe it or not, I got $350 for them. He is going to use them on a Chevelle that he's building

After doing a quick search, I noticed the number of tires that are available in the 1 up or 1 down size categories are very limited, so I may not have many choices...

The wagon wheels are ugly enough on their own. Add chrome to the equation, and you truly have a train wreck.

Really wasn't a bad deal for him... he said he had been looking for a set for a while.
Tires had over 75% tread left on them and not a scratch on the wheels. He was very happy.
He even asked me to hold them until he could get to my house that night.
I had them listed for $350 and he didn't even try to bargain with me.
I would've taken much less, just to get them out of the garage.
