Nobody makes anything I really like or they want way too much money for some molded plastic so I made my own frame. The bottom lettering is a bit small but wanted to fit everything in there. Cost about $5 to make.
I sanded the name of the lot I bought it from and flipped mine upside down (bought in Washington where the stickers are on top, not bottom like Oregon). I've considered buying something cool, but it is so far down on the list. It's bellow floor mats that I still haven't bought.
I like the look of mine, Kinda old school but hey...it's what I like and yes the color matches perfectly..GM paint code 079-mellenium yellow
I brought the top out a bit so my L.E.D. License plate lights could light up the plate, plus I think it gave it a nice look as it holds the shape of the body better too. I just like to be different...
Couldn't find a frame exactly what I wanted in black. Found a chrome one, painted it black, had the Cheap Trick logo decal made, and came up with this.
On my Vette I have a one-off billet frame that was made by a fellow C5Registry member for me many years ago. I also have on another car a frame from the Speed Weeks at Bonneville, from a friend who drove another friend's streamliner. 270 mph with a 265 cube small block Chevy. I'll take pics and post another time.
