I live in Germany and there are scarcely any C5 Z06 since never offered when new.
My advantage - I can look in the whole US (and Canada), however I'm not able to inspect the car personally.
My budget is 22.500$ for a '04 unmodified Vette with not more than 32.500 miles ~ 50.000 Km and a clear CarFax.
How about this one: http://www.royalontheeastside.com/us...ec633af839.htm
The decals are missing but - honestly - I like it this way (and my treasury secretary, too).
However, somehow it appears as if the passenger side front wheel arch is scraped, isn't it?
Any opinions on the car?
Is there anybody near Bloomington who could have a look at the car?
One more question ... from the advertised sales prices ... how much can be haggled down - or what is a good start without annoying a seller?
Looks like a very nice z and that's not a bad starting price for a low mileage 04. You should be able to knock $1-2k off their price if someone negotiates it in person. There are professional services in the US that will go and inspect a car for you and give you their opinion on it. I would look into that. I could see paying $23 or so for this car. This car has polished aluminum wheels, you should be able to have any minor scrapes repaired if needed. The front wheels can be had used in good condition for around $150. Good luck, I would love to get to drive mine on the autobahn some day
In the llink that you sent, the color is blue.....is that correct?
Question is because in 2004, that color blue was NOT OFFERED, EXCEPT for the Commerative Edition (CE) which had stripes, and also it's own VIN! If that is the case, then it came with the "polished" wheels, AND is worth the price asked IF it is real, undamaged. However, I would worry about why the stripes are missing, and also ask the seller for confirmation of the CE issue and the special CE VIN. Um, my understanding is that the original (vinyl) stripes are no longer available through GM (but you could have them painted on).
Actually, I meant the missing stripes. I'm aware that they are not available by GM anymore ... only as repros ... and would use this as an argument to lower the price.
Thanks, the second one had an accident according to the carfax. Beside any accidents (and not all need to be listed in the Carfax ... if not reported) I look at the owners' history ... long time ownership for a couple
of years, good. Sold around recently via an auction or only a few months ownership ... rather not.
