2003 early/late
I just recently purchased a 2003 vert 6 spd with 10K miles. I've had 2001 and 2004 verts in past and knew if they were early or late builds - plus the known issues of each. I've noticed on here that some are referring to early 2003's having fuel pump/sending unit issues.
My question is what sequence numbers are considered early / late ?

Not aware of any issues with pump or sending unit particular to the 2003.
The fuel system in the 2003 was changed beginning about Nov 25, 2002.

Exact accuracy of the date and VIN in the above link has been questioned by a few on this board. Use the date and VIN as a general guideline of when the FFS system came into production.
Sensor issues have plagued all year C5's. Usually several treatments with Techron Plus will solve the sensor issues but on some occassions replacement of the sensors is necessary. Fuel pump replacement and sensor replacement on the later year 2003 and 2004 cars is a much bigger job than on the pre- FFS system. That is due to the need to drop the tanks to access any components inside the tanks. On the pre-FFS tanks there are access panels on the bottom back side of the tanks.
