I just put my C5 away for the winter stored in a heated to 55 degree building. I bought a CTEK 3300 along with a CTEK extension cord and Cigarette lighter charge adaptor. Everything seems ok but the charger body, after one hour, is warm to the touch. I have it set for the proper mode (Shows a Car) and the light came on on the charging mode (shows a battery half black and half white). SHOULD I BE Concerned about the temp of the charger????
Thanks!!
My CTEK3300 is warm to the touch when in use. I use mine always whenever the car is in the garage 12 months a yr. I have mine set on the snowflake setting...
I think mine get slightly warm, normal for sure.
I have the connection plug attached directly to the battery terminals on all my cars, whenever they are not used for a while (the C5 is always connected, when not being driven).
Love my C-Tek's.

Over many years -I had 3 tenders / maintainers short out from lighting strikes around my house . they seem sensitive to slight power surges ... maybe check them every few weeks - I do ...
