Default Transmission trashed. Questions.

Well, there went 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and O.D.

Started getting slushy in shifting from 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th.

Checked fluid and it was LOW and kinda burnt.

I'd done filter and fluid when I first bought her in 2013.

Gone 50 thousand miles since then.

I don't race her, but I DO DRIVE HER.

My question is. What years transmissions will swap into this car?

1999 coupe.

Why not just get yours rebuilt? Probably be cheaper and you can upgrade the parts while they are in there. Either way you have to pull the trans.

While it is unfortunate that the tranny is having problems, it does present a good opportunity to make it even better with some upgrades.

It will be a huge difference and a performance upgrade instead of just feeling like you are replacing broken parts. You might think about exhaust as well since it will all be included in the same labor hours.

I like the built up RPM trans. Dyno tested with warranty.

The thought of 'USED' is not one of my favorites.
The thought of "UPGRADES" is YUMMY.
Already have complete Exhaust. Kooks Long Tubes, High Flow Cats (Matching Kooks), and Corsa Indy Pace Car Mufflers.
C.A.I., and weiand LS6 intake.
So, the Trans and Gearing upgrade appears to be the best logical step.

So, any 'suggestions' for the Charlotte area?
Or....
Who is recommended?

I'm Old, Retired, and POOR. LOL
So I only want to spend this money once.
Which is why I'm willing to spend for THE GOOD GUY.

Just added RPM Transmissions to my "Favorites".
Thanks.
Any other suggestions?
Or are they the "LAST WORD" in Corvette Transmissions?

Most of the people I have read in the forced induction section recommend them, I have one in my sc'd vert and it is holding up well. I would consider a fan powered trans cooler also if you stall it and drive hard. Mine is mounted under headlight and it made a huge difference in trans temps when pushing the car hard.

I know two brothers in PA., "VetteVillains".
They part out C5s.

I asked them, and they've got a 2002 trans with 3,000 miles since complete overhaul.

That with a brand new converter ran me $600.oo shipped.

I'm keeping mine.

Will have mine completely gone through and put it with my spare engine in the corner.
