Default How'd I do?

Sold my C4 about 6 weeks ago. Bought it for $4200. Sold it for $5800 after putting 6000 fun filled trouble free miles on it.

Bought this '98 C5 today for $7900

81k miles. Auto. Base model. Great condition. The only thing wrong is a heavily worn out seat bolster and the AC didn't seem to blow cold in the short time I tested it.

Paint is beautiful, good tires, some sort of custom built exhaust. Runs & drives great.

I bought it from a guy who inherited it from his uncle who died earlier this year. . He was a mechanic and this was his tenth Corvette.

I only drove it 15 mins to the hotel today. Tomorrow I'll drive it home 1.5 hrs.

I plan on putting in a better head unit and nicer wheels on it. Other than that, I won't do much more to it.

Seems like a pretty good deal, I think. I'm psyched.

Very nice looking C5. Looks like it was well maintained. I think you did very well, that's a low price for a nice C5. Good luck with getting the A/C sorted out.

Nice catch! For that price you could afford to make quite a few upgrades if you wanted and you still wouldn't have spent that much...

Wow! Looks like you did very well on your purchase. Relatively low mileage for the year and great appearance from what I can see. I second Pounders suggestion on reading the stickies at the top of the page, very informative reading for the new C5 owner. Well, Congrats and best wishes on your new old baby. Good luck with her!

Even if you have to spend a good bit of money to get the A/C working properly, I still think you got a great deal. Congratulations!

That's a lot of car for that money! Maybe new rims and tires too?

Nice looking C5! I agree on the wheels (rims), that was the first thing that I changed on mine. I never liked the wagon wheel rims on the earlier years. Congrats!

I never liked the silver ones, but the chrome WWs are sharp...I'd just exchange the silver ones for chrome...when I get my C5, it's getting chrome wagon wheels regardless of what year it is, or what wheels it comes with...
