Any tips or tricks to drilling a hole in a tight space?
It's 1am and I'm thinking lazy thoughts. I'm trying to cut/drill a hole on my passenger side stainless works header before the cat to add a clamp style aem WB02.
Clearance is nil.
Can't get my milwaukee 90 degree head on it. Can only get Dremel on it - and that won't do the large bit sizes I will need.
Basically, I'm trying to avoid pulling the header so I'm posting this here before I crash for the night in hopes that some wise person can tell me how to get this done easier than I've made it so far.
Have you looked at trying a stepped drill bit? They are usually much shorter than a standard length bit and may work with your 90 degree drill.
Not familiar with a Milwaukee 90 degree but 90 degree air drills have a short nose which may also help. Harbor Freight has both for cheap if you only plan on infrequent use.
Wondering... are you removing the cats before drilling? I can't imagine all those shavings will do any good sitting in the front of the cats from here on.
As for drilling; perhaps an air ratchet and with a step drill per previous poster.

Good point. As for shavings putting some grease on the bit and going slow will help minimize shavings.
