Window Jerking While Going Down

I've noticed that my driver side window will jerk a few inches when I first open it. After the initial jerking it'll go down somewhat smoothly, but the jerking concerns me. Any idea what would cause this?

When you lower the window, nothing will happen for .25 inches while its reeling in slack and then jerk it down once it's taunt.

Proper fix is to replace the motor, quick and dirty method is to find something to jamb in the wire guide stops to take up the slack.
