2002 Z06 - 9000 miles
What is the fair market price for a 2002 Z06 with low mileage(9000 miles).??
Heated storage, completely stock, no mods. It seems like the prices of C5's have quit going down and the cheap deals have too many modifications or have been run hard and put away wet!
I am not looking for a fire sale price, the book values(KBB,NADA) seem low for mint condition low mileage cars.

If you want it, you'll have to pay a bit of a premium for the low miles. You'll also likely need to change the tires, fluids and other bits and pieces to get it ready to go. On a 2002, I would also recommend replacing the valve springs.

The NADA book pegs it at $23,262. I have found them to be accurate in my area. The Z is about $2k more than a vert. Many Z owners believe they are very rare and valuable but the book shows them at about $4k over the base coupe. Without the low mileage the car is worth $16.7k.

Around $24-25K would be a reasonable price IMO. Could be a little more or less depending on locale and whether it needs anything like tires, maintenance items, etc.

Since it has only 9K miles I agree with Jack, potentially around $24K, plus or minus $500 unless it has original tires then deduct at least $1,000. Make sure that it has been stored and maintained properly otherwise I would pass.
My Uncle's sold for $24K with 15K miles last summer and I would think values have come down a little since then with all the huge discounts on new C7's plus it's winter. In addition there are many nice low mileage C6's in the low to mid $20K's since many of the C6 owners are now taking advantage of the falling C7 prices to upgrade.

I'm flying to pick up a 2002 Z06 that I'll drive carefully home, has CF lips, skirts, rear spoiler, custom shocks/sways, wheels, 7600 miles. We agreed on $25,750. I plan on doing the valve springs, clear bra, noise reduction and few other things....

Many if not most on this forum will tell you the car is worth 24k or less. Only then if the guy already replaced the original tires and changed all the fluids.
One responder said he sold his for $26k last year and I have seen others talk about paying that or more. There are a number of them at any given time for sale around the country with that mileage or less. They will run often over 30k advertised price. The fact that it has no mods is very important. Having all the original paperwork, the entire service history, and any other information available is important and brings value.
I bought an '02 in the fall with 4034 miles. It has all the original paper and a very complete history. It had been properly stored from new without a mark on it. I paid $28,900 and spent $1,500 on new tires and fluids. I am a retired new car dealer and have bought and sold a few Corvettes. In my opinion it was worth every penny for the quality received but many others will tell you I am completely crazy.

It is hard to place a value on a car with such low mileage. There are too many variables and season plays a big part in the price as well as supply and demand. If the right buyer comes along it could sell for $28,900 if that is what it is worth to a specific buyer. You can always offer $24K or $25K and if you really want the car be prepared to pay as much as it takes. There is no right or wrong price to pay. If you like Yellow you can buy the '03 with 918 miles for the full asking price of $30K.

High 20's especially if its the original owner and he paid mid $50k new (dealer markup at the time).
Any number that starts with a "2" you should be good, won't be worth that once you drive it but that gets you entry to a super clean example. Change the valve springs if you do get it. The 2002 had a batch of bad springs. Better safe than sorry.

Mecum in Kissimee last week had an anniversary one sell for $33K but it only had 2 miles on it - still had the saran wrap on the seats - guy bought it and parked it - MSRP would have been what $45-50K? I don't think I want this guy being my 401K fund manager LOL

If you follow the auctions, you are starting to see certain C5's bring fairly big money. They are the low mileage special edition cars or performance models. This is the way it always starts. The average car with miles is always far behind but eventually is brought up by the market. This is what the prognosticators are seeing. When it goes, it happens very fast. Follow the history of the original M3 BMW's, NSX, and the older air cooled 911's. Some of these cars went absolutely crazy in value in 24-36 months.
