Im still playing with my new 02 FRC.
Saw the threads on comp mode settings and had to check it out tonight.
Call me nuts but the car is way more spirited with comp mode on and i think she is even a bit louder at the exhaust.
Do we really know what the Comp Mode actually does on a stock C5 other than some handling adjustments?
Thanks!!

That must just be in your head. In reality, throttle response is actually LESS crisp while in Comp Mode and Traction Control/Active Handling Off mode.

Yes. Lots of good reading in the Technical section for you. Basically, Comp Mode leaves Active Handling enabled, but turns off the Traction Control. From 2002: http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...tion-mode.html

When I first got my 99, I floored it in first and second (manual) and I thought what a dog !!! flipped to comp. mode and again floored it in first 20 mph and it lit up the tires, shifted to second and floored again, lit up the tires, big smile !!
No, you are just not experiencing the traction control engaging. Like going full-throttle in a speed boat with the anchor in the water---then doing it again with the anchor raised up. The boat will obviously feel faster. *derp*
yes !! comp mode disengages TC which when on will apply brakes to the spinning wheel and retard the timing and close the throttle some !!
while TC is off, stability control is still on. Comp mode caused me issues when trying to leave a 180 degree turn so now I just turn it off when I autox or track.
