If you mean some kind of reinforcement, all I'd do is glue some ballistic nylon to the bottom of the seat cushion so that the springs don't cut through. Look at your old cushions and you determine where to reinforce or protect.

All good advice in the above posts. A little protection in critical areas can mean the difference between the foam/seat covers showing premature wear and lasting a long time.
I used carpet tile under my foam upside down to stop the spring wires from cutting through the foam. Seems to be working well. I'm. 265 and its still firm.
Replaced skins and foam on my '03. Never had an issue with wire cutting foam, but foam failed especially the bolsters. Now my concern is the total lack of support/failure on the bolsters. I would be looking to somehow supply support in this area. There is a total hollow in the seat under bolsters and need to be filled...how to do it??? I believe there is a kit available and would purchase if ever re doing seats again. Someone know?
Along with what is stated in the above write up, I'd put some edging material on the seat frame that cuts into the bolster. I taped some split vinyl tubing on it.
I cut an ice maker water line in half and covered the sharp part of the seat bolster.
For a layer of protection between the springs and the seat cushion, you can buy a kit that has jute fabric or just cut up a piece of your old OEM seat skins that you are going to throw away and zip-tie it to rest on top of the springs.
