I'm going to take a guess and say it's probably a job number for the engine. Just a guess so we'll see how I did when someone that really knows chimes in.

I rarely take a stab, at anything unless I know it to be true.. I only post in areas where I have expert knowledge, but in this case, I do not..
I'm 90% sure that is an inspection number, since these intakes are sand casted Glass filled nylon. They require some extensive, single unit testing.

It might be a number from a salvage yard just a guess. I seen them on parts at salvage yard. Mostly yellow. Just a guess.

My 1999 convertible had a similar 3 digit number, also hand written, in white grease pen, in the same location.
