OBD Reader
Looking to get an OBD reader. Would appreciate recommendation on a reasonable priced one that will show the full specific codes similar to the DIC as I will be using it on more than my corvette.

If you have a smartphone just get a bluetooth ODB reader and download Torque from your app store.

I have the elm327. you need to make sure that you get a reader that will function with you particular phone. My phone is droid operating system, so I had to get the reader that can operate with it. Mine is run via wifi, not bluetooth so I think it was about 20 bucks instead of 10.

I would also make sure that whatever you get can record live data. Even if you don't know what something means being able to play back live data/freeze frame data can allow you to post and get input from others who know the systems better.
