Default C4 valve covers fit ls6 ?

I'm curious if early C4 magnesium valve covers will fit a LS6 ? Does anybody know what a stock ls6 valve cover weighs? Thanks for any help.

highly doubtful, they aren't even close to beng shaped the same... there are better areas to look for weight reduction than the valve covers in my opinion

The car already has the interior gutted, ac removed and other stuff. When I look on eBay for ls6 valve covers it says ls1 in the titles so that's why I asked.

well which is it c4 or ls1?... c4 covers are way different, ls1 covers will work as long as they are 99 and up... 97-98 had perimeter bolt valve covers that are not the same as the ones used on the ls6... if you want some light ones katech makes some out of carbon fiber but you better bust out the credit card because they aren't cheap

I'm only familiar with c5 vettes. I thought c4 came with ls1 engines. I typed in ls1 valve covers on eBay and the first auction to pop up was c4 mag valve covers.
I just checked the website of the company you recommended and the cf valve covers are sold out.

c5's have ls1/ls6 and c4's have lt1's and some other engines that I never really cared to know about to be honest, I'm not sure exactly what they are but I do know they are not ls motors... try calling katech and I'm sure you could get a set... also look in the for sale forums, I know I saw a set for sale on here not long ago and I believe it was in the c6 for sale section

C4s had the L83 (1984), L98 (1985-1991), LT1 (1992-1996) and LT4 (1996 - only on manual tranny cars). The LS1 engine began with the 1997 C5.
