Since I bought the car I noticed that the a/c did not blow very hard. A while back I noticed that no matter which vent I have selected, the air comes out of all of my vents. All of them, the defrosters, the floors, and the dash.
I am positive that my car had the corrosion issue, the frame underneath the battery box has no paint and is starting to oxidize (not bad, just dusty rust). Mine is an 03. Does anyone know if that year had the vacuum lines under the battery? It is hard for me to check since I do not have long enough tools at my house to remove the box.
The line comes from the back of the intake from the manifold pressure sensor then hides inside the engine wiring harness. It exits near the PCM then there is a T with a possible check valve in it. I don't think you can access it through the battery box area. There is an access panel behind the front tire and you may have to remove a few fender screws and pull the lower finder back a little.

I had acid to eat through my vacuum lines shown there in the pic back when I had my '98. The '03 also had the vacuum lines there. My problems were very similar to yours. Check those plastic vacuum lines well!
I had a vacuum leak that I found in that same area, but it was due to a rat or mouse that chewed through the line, not an acid leak. I was able to cut out the eaten part and slide a tight fitting hose/sleeve over both ends and reconnect it, and did not have to replace the entire line which would have been a bitch.
