Rear lettering inserts. which are best?
I am looking to do the rear letters on the Vette this spring. I would like opinions based on your experience with them and what company you feel offer the best. TIA

Since, at the first chance I got, I removed the ones from the car I just bought, I should probably recuse myself ...

Order what ever color you want, they don't cost much. Everyone will have their own opinion on which company to buy from. You may have to scratch the paint surface so they will adhere, hopefully not.

I have a set that was bought from Ecklers right after I bought the car in Sep 2009. I have not had any problems in the 7+ years since. The ones I got are the brake light red and are a raised epoxy type lettering.

I installed a set of Black Chrome (Titanium) Stainless Steel letters in 2007 from Stainless Steel Inserts, but from what I can tell they are out of business. No problems with them so far...

since you want black, have them painted on and you won't have to worry about the letters falling off

I always liked what Chevie did with rear bumper, and 'embossing' Corvette into it rather than highlighting in chrome, or even paint, etc.
I like the 'understated look'. I know it's a Vet, so does everyone else. There is enough badging on the car already... but that's just me.

The ones I had on my 04' Z16/Z06 were the brake light red raised epoxy type lettering. I got them from a CF vendor, but I don't remember which one. Easy to apply with no damage to the paint after I removed them before I sold the car.

I used the polished stainless steel inserts from Mid-America. Been on two years now.

I've been using EmblemPros for several of my rides. For the C5 they have front and rear inserts. Stainless steel is what I've always used. You have to bend them to fit the shape of the car though. Look amazing and I've never had anything from them fall off. Don't let their crummy ebiz website throw you, it's all GM licensed and 3M backed.
