I'm going to do the plug change myself and almost bought the red perf GM wires but I came across the MSD-32819 8.5mm Super conductor wire set and wanted to ask you all is one better than the other? Pricewise they are about the same and it appears that you do not have to use the metal heat shields with these. My 2002 coupe is mostly stock except for the catback BB Bullets. My credit card awaits your responses...
By the way-I'll be using the Iridium 41-110 plugs.
Thanks !
I use Magnum wires with a soild stainless steel core and RF choke. Expensive when compared to stock... But you will never have to replace the. I also use stick heat shields.
Literally virtually any quality wire will work perfectly fine. I used GM Reds and this most recent time I used some JBA performance wires because a friend had them brand new and pretty much gave them to me. They were 8.5mm and feel sturdy, so I'm sure they'll work just great.
I currently use Taylor ThunderVolt 50 10.4mm Spark Plug Wires. I chose them because they have a low 50 ohms/foot of resistance. Plus, since I have LT Headers, they can withstand heat up to 600 degrees F. I added plug wire heat shields as well for added protection. I have absolutely no RF interference.

After some research I ended up getting the MSD's at Advance for about 56.00 after the discount-the Iridium plugs on Fleabay for 21.00 after the rebate & even sprung for 8 new heat shields from R/A for less than 30.00 (just in case they have never been out before & I lose my patience with 'em.). Not a bad investment and although a local mechanic said he'd change them out for 160.00 I think I'll do it myself.
I need to pull the EBCM out anyway so I'll do it all over an upcoming weekend.
I'll let you all know how things worked out.
By the way, the car has over 98000 miles on her and hopefully nothing will be fused together.

10.4 MM!? I like overkill as much as the next guy, so I'm interested.
I'm actually serious about that too, that sounds kinda awesome, although if I went much thicker than the 8.5mm wires I have I'm pretty sure that the wire would be sitting on the header primary.

That's why I installed the heat sheilds/socks whatever you call them. The shields I chose withstand up to 1800 degrees F.
