I've been wanting to get a better suited jack since I got the Vette last Summer. I've already had it up a few times and see how hard it is with these cars. I've been watching the HF flyers and I got the 2 ton low profile extended reach one today for 119.95. I have their 1 1/2 ton alum. racing jack also but even though it is low profile the saddle on it is actualy 1 in. higher than the long reach jack is and this long reach one is way longer. It looks like even with the hockey puck on it is no higher than the small racing jack is without it. It has the foot pedal quick lift and one of the best features is the **** on the end of the handle to more easily let the car down, lots smoother than twisting handles on my other ones and it goes up to almost 24 in high, another plus.
I haven't used it yet but I measured all of them in the store and it is the lowest and longest one they have. Not the cheapest but we need this type now for almost all cars anyway. They have the 3 ton one now for $79 again but I've got a few of that style already.
It's always fun going to HF
I'd really like to have that Quick Lift but I just can't justify it quite yet
I don't remember my HF low pro costing that much. Maybe that is a better model. Mine has lasted 5 years out in the elements and still works great. I think it was $69

Harbor Freight jacks are not bad at all. I have two of them, both low profile, 2.5 ton aluminum racing jacks made by Pittsburg Automotive. I think I paid around $170 (with tax) for each of them, so your deal was cheaper. I think you'll be pleased with the HF jacks - I know I have been.
I bought a Harbor Freight low profile steel bodied jack in 2011 and have proceeded to beat the living hell out of it with literally no maintenance. It still functions as new.
Yeah I have both the standard steel low profile jack and 2 of the smallest alum jacks from HF. Both work great.... for around the garage the steel one is the one you want
I want the extended reach HF jack as well but I haven't seen it for less than $139. Where was the coupon? I got an e-mail with coupons but the one for that jack was not in it???

I don't remember exactly when I got it but I know it was over a week ago and was good till Mar. 17. I must get 4 or 5 of those flyers a week.
I haven't used the jack yet but it looks like it is going to work pretty good. Like I said before compared to my little HF 1 1/2 alum. racing jack the saddle on it is 3 1/2 high. The new low profile extended reach is 2 5/8 high which won't be any higher with a hockey puck than the other one is without it, I think it might go under the rocker pannel without driving on a plank first and still have room for the puck
Some are saying that the let down feature with the **** on the end of the handle lets the car down too fast but I can't say anything about that yet but I can tell you this thing is long and low and very heavy.
I just ordered a new fuel filter from Amazon so I'll be trying it out pretty soon.
The jack being discussed is in the monthly flyer for 139.95 on sale. Not on a super coupon. Apply your 20% savings coupon(27.99) and get the jack for 111.96. Item number is 68050/62310/60678.
I going to get one tomorrow. Great heads up!

If you look at the FINE PRINT on the 20% super coupons it says
"FLOOR JACKS ARE EXCLUDED". Hope ya didn't waste a trip!
I have 2-3 tone HF jacks, one low and the other standard, and they both work just fine on the rear end so you can get stands under the puck points. Both under $90 and I am using one today. Never had an issue. I also choose the steel ones because I'm not lugging them around, just rolling in my garage, why spend the extra $$$$. I think some of the bad reviews on these is the fact that the purchaser doesn't read the instructions, they want you to bleed them before you use them, make sense???? Look at the lifting heights, 5/8" can cost you $45 and if your not lowered it's an easy choice.

Yeah, I had a flyer that had it for 119.95 and the 20% one too but the 20 doesn't apply to most of the big stuff anyway although I had some smaller items that it did. Even for the 139 I would have still bought it though, nobody compares to HF in my opinion for my needs anyway.
I like the big name stuff like Snap on, Matco and such and I have a few pieces myself but we do loose things occasionaly and I'd much rather loose a socket out of a $39 10 pc. set than one $39 snap on socket alone and I've only ever broken 1 of the Pittsburg 3/8 impact 14 mm. sockets and that was from using a 1/2 adapter and a big gun. HF has came a long way while others have gone down hill

While at HF, pick up a cross member jack attachment. These work really well when you want your C5 up on jacks for an extended amount of time. Mine spends all winter on these.
I first back the car up onto ramps in the rear. Then jack up the front to about as high as the jacks will go. Then slide in two jack stands holding one cross member beam under the cradle. then lower the car onto it. Then I put a second cross member beam on a jack and lift the back cradle until the car is even. Then lower it onto another set of jack stands and viola, your car is up.
