C5 hard to start
Hello fellow C5 owners. I own a 2002 C5. I have recently been having issues trying to turn the car on. My C5 is a base model automatic trans with 73k miles and is my daily driver. The issue I've been experiencing is, no engine or starter turn over when I turn the key in the ignition. This does not happen all the time but has started happening more often lately. There is no typical stripped starter sound or check engine lights on. I just have to try turning the key in the ignition anywhere from 2-10+ times before she turns right on. All gauges work and light up as normal even when it doesn't turn over. The only warning indicator that comes on is the "door ajar" message. I believe that is due to a bad sensor in the door lock mechanism. I plan to change both door lock mechanisms. Could that possibly be a contributor to my problem? Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
