Default C5 Valuation

Trying to decide whether to sell my C5 or not, so any ideas you guys have on value would help.

It's an early build (day 4) '98 Silver C5 MN6 coupe, black interior, with all options for the year including both roofs ("glass" one almost unused - lives under the bed), auto HVAC, sports seats, CD changer (works fine), F45 - still functional, and you can still feel the difference. Mileage 77k, delivered to me 8/1997. No current issues, regular fluid changes, etc., and I still use it sort of regularly - maybe weekly these days.

Has Baer discs/Hawk pads, 18/19 ZR1 style wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport AS tires (C6 sizes) with maybe 10-12k on them, installed with new sensors a few years back, Halltech Stinger, shortened shifter, Adjure rear plate with Candlepower bulbs. No mechanical mods, except for lowering and inch or so, never raced, autox'd, or otherwise abused in any way, and no accidents or other damage.

Comes with take off parts - wagon wheels with bald tires (yea!!), original air intake, old rear license plate holder, even the original wiper blades (don't ask why I keep this stuff, I'm just a pack rat), set of '98 GM factory service manuals, owner's manual in the original folder, luggage "net", and even the VHS tape they originally supplied with the car - you just need to provide the player. No front tag is needed in WV, so the OE front cover is in place.

I really don't use it that much any more. My wife does not like it (too noisy, too low and I drive it too fast), which has the advantage that the passenger seat is almost unused, as we tend to use her car most of the time since I got my early out. Anyway, trying to decide whether to sell and get something we both will like or keep it, which will bring us up to four vehicles. I've had tremendous pleasure out of this car - although the first year or so of ownership was fraught with (mostly) electrical issues, all cleared up under warranty luckily. Moral: don't buy a year 1 Chevy.

Anyway. any ideas on value/price would be welcome.

You must have some nice rides for your C5 to rank #4/4. What are the other cars? My C5 would never be outside a garage.

Pics? Seems a shame to let go of what is described as a original owner, relatively low mileage, sorted out and problem free vette that sounds like its been well cared for. I'm willing to bet that if you do let it go you'll soon regret it. Anyway, would love to see photos. If your C5 is as described, and I'm sure it is, and a 6m to boot, if reasonably priced you should have absolutely no trouble selling with spring and summer just around the corner. Good luck with whatever you decide but I'm hoping that you keep it!

find a place to store it where it's easily retrievable and keep it . in a couple months you'll know that was the right decision . 90% of the depreciation is out of it and it's not like you'll get a $100,000 for it . . . peace
