New Garage Art

I have a 2004 Z06 that came with the red fuel rail covers and over the last 13 years of ownership I have gathered some cool Corvette Royalty autographs on my covers. I drove with the signed covers pretty much everywhere since I thought it was a cool touch to the car.
Well when I went with a FAST intake manifold the rails wouldn't fit any longer, so I bought spare set and modified them to fit the car. Well over the years I got them autographed too.
Now I upgraded my LS6 to include an LS3 intake and fuel rail, so now none of my LS6 covers fit any longer. So that was my motivation to get them mounted to the wall. And it may look funny with 3 fuel rails mounted but the 4th one doesn't have any autographs on it so I didn't mount it.
Autographs include

one of the autographs is personalized with my name too
Wil Cooksey, Corvette Plant Manager during C5 production
Kirk Bennion

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Someone had asked about the install, so here goes.
The FRC's clip onto a 5/8" diameter fuel line, so I bought a 5/8" diameter steel rod that was 6 foot long and some screw in eye hooks to hold the bar. Then I needed to figure the dimension for the return of the top portion of the FRC so they didn't hit the wall and prevent them from being secured to the bar. I figured I needed to come off of the wall 2-1/4 inches. So in my basement I found some old baseboard trim that was 1" thick and I mounted that into the studs in the wall. Then I mounted 3/4" plywood onto the baseboard trim which got me to 1-3/4" off the wall. Then I mounted the screw in eye hooks and did not screw them all the way in leaving me room to play with the final adjustments for coming off the wall.

This photo shows the top portion of the FRC's that has the return portion that I needed to account for otherwise they would hit the wall before reaching the steel rod.

Add I figured I would a Garage Beauty Shot
