Default Good Bye F55!

Installed C6 Z06 shocks. Huge difference!

Then for good measure, I just added C6 Z06 sway bars. Really looking forward to the next local AutoCross event to compare them.

Now the question: Is there any good reason why I should not remove the F55 sensors from each corner?

TIA.

Anyone know if it is possible to use F55 parts from newer C5s to upgrade the F45, or do you have to get the GM kit? Mine is a daily driver and I don't take it to the track, so ride comfort with instant adjustability for the mountains is what is most important for me.

Do those 2 systems really make much of a difference anyway? I've heard from others that they don't but I have no idea. I have the base system which is fine for me but when I need new shocks I will be going with the Z06 ones, nobody says anything bad about them from what I see here.

You can't really go from a non-F45 system to a F55.

Most of the people that have done the swap say the F55 system is far superior to the F45. Touring mode is more comfortable, while sport mode has better handling. I plan to pair it with C6 Z51 sway bars at some point in the future. As I said, this is my daily driver, and ride comfort is far more important to me than handling at the limits. Z06 is good for handling at the limits, and that's about it.

Connectors are different as well as the bcm I believe. Trust me, removing the F45 system and putting on stock Z06 shocks was a godsend for me. Night and day difference. Besides, you want to pay over 745.00 per shock? my ride comfort with the new shocks is honestly better then the f45 but thats me.

Some people prefer stiff suspensions for comfort, others prefer soft. I prefer soft.
