Hello everyone! i didnt see an introduction spot on the forums so i thought id post here! ive driven imports all my life but always had a soft spot for a corvette. Friday i finally get to make that dream come true! im going to pick up a C5 I got at an amazing price! figured id drop by and say hello to everyone!
ill start off by saying i know next to nothing about these cars. Or engines in general. I come from a long long line of Turbo 4 cylinders. i looked at a couple of c5's and a c6 a few years back at a local car dealer and absolutly fell in love with them. But the price was out of my range. at the time. This one popped up for a very very good deal.
As you can tell. The car is a 1997 it has 87k miles and not a spot of rust to be seen. The car litterally looks like it rolled off the show room floor 20 years after production.
6speed, And as far as i know it is bone stock other then a corsa street exhaust, and a veraram intake. has brand new tires. Brand new slotted rotors and carbon ceramic pads.
If no one else will ask, I will. You can't throw out a statement like ^^^ that ^^^ and not give some idea as to what you paid.
Oh, and some more pics would be cool, too.

haha 8500 is what i paid. i can get some more pictures later this week! we are getting hammered on the east coast right now with a horrible snow storm, Currently have about a foot
the joy of Fiberglass . Looks like it's well taken care of!
haha! i was mostly talking about the under side. Even very well taken care of cars here in NY usually have rust on them. Unless you only drive them from like august till october

Looks like a helluva car for the price. Well bought!
Only 87,000 miles? Well then, you must go easy on it, for 500 more miles.
Then it'll be broken in, and you can drive it like it was built to be driven, America's Sports Car.
Many LS Corvette engines known to 'come into their power' around 2 to 300,000 miles.
Might need a 'break in' oil change, then go Nail it !!!
Welcome to the family. Corvettes are fantastic cars and you can never go wrong with one. Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty and work on it. They really aren't that bad to work on. At the end of the day the mechanics of the car are pretty much the same as any other vehicle.
