Just replaced my IPC with a used unit (mine was acting 'hinkey'). Now I seem to have access to options that I didn't have before. Nothing stellar, just didn't know that my '99 FRC had it in the program.
Only thing is, my car has 78,367 original miles but the odometer on this one reads 126,497.
Wondering if I should (or could) have my old one rebuilt/repaired or just buy a used unit every few years.
Anybody know if there's a forum vendor that does IPC refurbishment?
Look into this thread .
It seems like you can move the EEPROM containing the milage from the old cluster and resolder it onto the "new " replacement cluster .
Only Forum Vendor I know is http://batee.com/ he only does 84-96 but may be able to send you in the right direction or help in some way, he built my power supply for my cluster so I can run it out of the car.
