I'm going to replace the H-pipe on my Z with a X-pipe and it requires cutting the exhaust after the cats. I don't want to remove it from the car to do this and want to use a chain exhaust cutter to get the H-pipe off. The problem is I can't find one that will cut stainless tubing.
Has anyone done this and can recommend a chain cutter that can handle stainless? Thanks.
I just rented a chain tail pipe cutter to cut my factory c5 exhaust and the cuts took less than 3 min per side, and were PERFECTLY straight and true. I would recommend this over a sawsall any day having now done it both ways. It was easy, clean, precise and FREE.
