c6 shifter install in c5

c6 shifter install in c5
anyone know what size screw goes in the shift **** for a c6? I ordered a used shifter and **** from a C6 but did not get a screw for the **** to connect. I have looked and looked and cant seem to find the size and type.

What you need depends on what year C6 shift **** you have.
Pre mid 2008 is one number, post mid 2008 is another.

If you have the **** and not the shifter ***'y itself, you'll need a bunch more info to get the right shifter - the pre/post mid 2008 ***** attach to the shifter in different locations, the screw is a different size, the boots connect different, too.
To complicate it, there are at least 5 part number suspercessions along the way - and as of last summer, all shifters 2005-2017 have the same part number - you'll need the SN of the C6 to get the right one.
Or
order the C5-c6 shifter upgrade package from someplace like trunkmonkey.com. THen all you have to worry about is the boot.
