Thanks for the replies. My problem is I deal with a local credit union and most likely will not find what I'm looking in this area. Carrying large amount cash scares me, maybe I could meet at sellers bank and they could get funds transfer for me.
LOL. You really don't have a clue, do you?. You tell folks you can stop payment on cashier checks which is wrong. It is against the law. A cashiers check can be verified in a minute. Legit cashiers checks have the issuing bank name and phone number on it. A call can verify it instantly. Can you do that with counterfeit money?
The fact is, it is dangerous to carry large amounts of cash on you. A child knows that much. A cashiers check is safe and can be easily verified. And the truth is it is a against the law to stop payment on a cashiers check. Most large transactions in this country are made with cashiers checks, not cash. There is a good reason.
Give it up before you start looking like a fool. Only a fool would carry large sums of cash to make purchases.
Crooks don't use forged cashiers checks to buy cars. Too easy to get caught.
I will let you have the final word so you can tell everyone what a great idea it is to accept a cashier's check.
