I think they're old school cool. If you're rocking an old muscle car with legit white under black sidewall tires (I build these daily for trucks) then sure. But this fad of essentially throwing a rolling advertisement on your low profile tires just looks ridiculous to me on a modern car.

They're outdated on a newer vehicle. I think they look great on a vehicle from that era though. An old 4X4 or muscle car look just as wrong without them as a modern car looks with them.

I happen to like them.
I hear it all the time, "like what you've done to the tail lights".
"Man that's different, I like it".
Most like the look.
Once in a while I hear from someone who doesn't like them.
The other day at the market, this guy was eyeing the Vette as I came out of the store.
" Great car, but those tail lights look like ****".
"If I owned it, I would take them off right away"
I replied, "well you don't own it, I do, and I happen to like the way they look".
Bob.

I like the look. A buddy of mine has them on his late model Challenger with blacked out CCW's and yeller letters. Looks pretty cool. I'm thinking of trying it on my truck I put 20" Nittos on. Has anyone tried the paint pens lately? How well does that hold up? I haven't tried the pen version since I was a kid back in the 70's. I would hope it's made some great improvements over the years and works and lasts longer these days.

Sorry I did not like this fad the first time around.
I always mounted my tires with the white letters inside.
No white walls either., I prefer black walls.
Later.

Attention old folks...let me help. It's not the small letters like 1969...the style is larger today going the entire sidewall. If you do small letters like a BFG AT or like some old Mickey Thompson...you're out of the loop.
NOT this
Today it's like THIS
ALSO...your entire car needs to be in balance with a large tire letter...i.e...not your stock car.
Now, I know some of you may be triggered by this...saying you do it your way, or you like it your way, etc...that's ok...doesn't make it the trend, or in style, just makes it you doin what you do...like your lambo doors and chrome stick on things...that's ok. You do that if you like it. I hope this clears up any confusion.

I like them, and had them on my car, but the paint just doesn’t hold up. It starts discoloring immediately and darkens over time. What was yellow ended up a muddy goldish color. I think the new ‘style’ of the large letters are not proportional.

^^^Thanks for your update.^^^ I was wondering how your painted letters were holding up. I won't be ordering the paint pens now if I decide to add the letters.

So it pays to advertise but why pay to advertise for someone else? You might as well load the car with stickers from every supplier that make oil or JC Whitney bolt on crap. Sorry not for me although my Ram 1500 Hemi left the factory with white lettered tires.
