After all these years I noticed this switch located just behind the battery. There does not seem to be anything connected to it. Does anyone know what it's for.
Its probably an old aftermarket alarm hood switch. It would set off the alarm if someone were to try to open the hood to disconnect the battery to disable the alarm.

An old alarm switch would be my guess. Certainly not a factory item.
