Looking for input...

Well guys I have been patiently looking through as much information as I can find (corvetteforum is an awesome place with a ton of knowledgeable people), I however would like your direct input. I'm looking to get into my first z06 and I believe I have settled on looking for an 04 z06. I plan to buy a car that I can enjoy on the weekend, hpde (4-5x per year) and road trip with (Route 66 is one of the first things I plan to do). My question is aimed towards the individuals who have owned both a c5z and a c6z. From what I have outlined which would you suggest (I have driven both, very impressed with both cars for different reasons). I appreciate all the advice I can get. Thanks.

for me.. I love the power of the c6z.. I love the raw feel of the c5z! if I had to chose its the c5z for me!!

Only have driven the 04 C5 Z but I prefer the look of the C5.

Love the C6Z but the elephant in the room are the heads. You need to immediately budget that into your purchase.
