Default Just a real nice day!

I knew it was going to be nice today so I thought I'd give my new HF long reach jack it's initial try changing my fuel filter on my 2003 C5.
I was expecting mine to be up front on the left side but it was in the back on the Drivers side. Well that made it all the better. I got one from Amazon (a WIX) for like $44 and it was a breeze to put on. My car has about 66000 on it and I didn't know how many miles were on it so I changed it. It needed changing as there was a lot of black that came out of it and was pretty hard to blow through and maby help the fuel pump live a little longer.
While I had it up I thought I'd add another to the shift detent spring mod already done with just one and it definitely makes my MGW shifter feel a lot nicer to me.
It was just one of those days when the weather was perfect, you feel good (which helpe d a lot) and wanted to do something you'd been putting off, nobody around to **** you off and everything came apart and went together perfect for a change, other than an earful of High test Sunnoco
I was just laying there on the concrete pad outside the garage reminissing about all the different vehicles over the years My Step-Father and I worked on right in this same spot.
Then it hit me, it was exactly 45 years ago this coming weekend that we put the new 327 in my little 66 Nova (a 6 cyl originaly) which was a real adventure back then.
Of course he is now gone and everyone else from back then as well but this old garage with the concrete slab outside brings back a lot of memories.
Well I think I just heard some Harp Music so I better get off here but it was just one of those perfect days in every respect and am thankful to have experienced it.

Sounds like a great day to me. I love the simple things when they're going well, just makes it all feel okay for a minute.

story. Having good memories sure makes for a great day. And for having no problems with the work done on the car.

Glad for you, that everything fell into place, including the weather.

Reminiscing, and then 'harp' music made me think of the movie 'Heaven Can Wait' with Warren Beatty, (getting his wings).

BTW: always loved 66/67 Nova SS!
