Exhaust on New C5

Hey guys, a couple of you asked for pics of the exhaust on my new C5 from my intro thread....there was a question if it was stock or not. Finally got home from a business trip and got a pic....here it is.

Pretty sure that's the Mid America logo...?

You are correct, it is a Mid America exhaust, I just spoke to the PO, the dealer hooked me up with him, he did put on that exhaust recently, no other performance mods other then drilled out rotors with ceramic pads...he also has some additional engine cosmetic pieces he took off the car that I'm going to buy from him plus a car cover.

It was great to talk with the PO.

That's a privilege not everyone gets! Good for you!!

I will have mine 4 years this month and I still get an occasional email from the PO.

It was great Jeff, he took such good care of this car he was really happy to,see it go to someone who would treat it the same way....he was really happy to hear I also have an all original Model A so he knows I love my cars.

Nice that you got to speak with the previous owner. So, how do you like that Mid-America exhaust - any drone, sound level, etc.?

Really loud at low speeds but sounds great.....we were out for a ride tonight and my wife commented how loud it was but had a big small on her face.....said she loved it

At freeway speeds it does not seem as loud....

I like the mid America as well. You can compare it to the borla stinger exhaust. I have long tubes and xpipe as well and its not that bad. it will drone in 6th gear at 70mph. anything below or above seems to be fine.
