Default help w/EBCM connector

Hey all-hope you had a pleasant Easter Sunday. I took out my EBCM to be shipped out for repair and noticed a female slot in the connector that doesn't look right. Can anyone tell me if this is a broken slot where he "E" pin fits into or is it suppose to look like this. Also, is it possible that this could be the reason for the intermittent 1214 codes that have been popping up more frequently lately? The removal was pretty easy from up top by just moving the air bridge up & out of the way and I used 2 different lengths of torx screwdrivers and a thin magnetic retrieval tool to fish out the screws--the re-install might be a different story though--we'll see...Thanks for any help on this.

That connector does look bent. You should be able to straighten it with an ice pick or something. I doubt that was causing your 1214 code. That code is a failing relay in the EBCM. Whoever you are sending it off to will fix that.

Thanks for the reply but the issue is that in the other slots there are 2 metal pieces that form a compression connector that is totally absent in the slot in question. --- I was just searching and found another post under "EBCM connector" that the OP thought that he had broken the plastic part on his connector when he removed it (he didn't-it is made that way) and his pic petty much shows no compression fitting in the same slot. Maybe that's the way it is and I have no problem. Again, time will tell.
