Default Seat Cover Ideas???

Going to put my sport seats back in the car....want the power functions back....and go with a more subtle look than the Custom Corbeaus I just put in....looking for ideas....I'm thinking something like the seat below but with out the stripe and all the stitching in blue....what are some of your ideas?....you can see the rest of my interior in the build thread....going to have Vette Essentials do the covers and new foam....I like how the alcantara plays off the lower sections of my interior...

Michael

The diamond stitching is doing nothing for me. It looks too gaudy.

I like the blue stitching idea. I have the purple stitching on mine and get comments on them all the time. I think the double stitch would look even better. The price on the ones on ebay is pretty good.

Mine with the purple stitching.

Interior Innovations will do just about anything, and much cheaper than VE. Here are mine, with light oak stitching.

Good thing you kept your original seats.

For sure.....I figured it will be easy to sell the other seats given their look and custom leather work....I'm going to have Sandy at VE make the covers with new foam....found a place locally that came highly recommended for the install....also ordered more leather pieces from Dennis at DDMods to finish off the car.....steering wheel, steering wheel surround, door sills, B-pillar/seat belt covers and rear speak covers....

I'm leaning towards black leather with black alcantara inserts with subtle blue stitching around perimeter of seat....Corvette script in blue (as before).....and there is something about the diamond stitch I like.....it's bolder....catches your eye with the extra stitching....but it's not a solid blue which I think might be too much given there are no other solid blue pieces in the interior.

My other thought is to have blue leather around the perimeter of the seat with a blue stripe at the top and bottom....suede insert in the middle...VE has done a number of seats with this layout.

All the best,

Michael

Just did my interior with a combination of leather and suede. You will love the contrast

I thought about suede but decided it would make moving around difficult. If I were to have new covers made I would use expensive leather.

Thanks for the compliments a lot of work went into it. Here is the thread https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...l-chapter.html

As you can see I originally had cross stitching on the tunnel and seats but I agree with Crisis that it was looking too busy. Toned it down too just straight alcantara/suede which still has a great presence and contrast with just all black leather

I agree...while the diamond stitch looks cool it really won't flow with the rest of the car and interior....I'm going to do black leather with black alcantara in the middle....I know that part looks good based on the custom seats in the car....I'll stick with the Corvette script in blue....and than do blue stitching around the perimeter....dont know where else it can go but that way everything is consistent....I'm thinking of leaving the headrests blank as the car will already have lots of flags including the new floor mats that are coming.
