What did you do to your C5 today?

Finished installing everything today. I also completely removed the AIR injection system. What a convoluted system of tubing the AIR system is. Engine compartment is much cleaner and its so much easier to get to the plugs and wires.
I only did a quick test drive to make sure everything is okay. I haven't really opened her up yet but on the initial start and short drive, the sound is awesome. It is relatively quiet but there is a nice subtle bassy rumble when idling. Cruising is only a little bit louder.

It is if you are in a state that tests for emissions. As I understand it, the AIR system pumps air into the exhaust to reduce emissions at startup. It doesn't take away power at all. My state does not test for emmisions so I removed it.

you can remove the air system and have the codes tuned out so that it will still pass emissions... technically it could still fail a visual inspection but most wouldn't even know that it was supposed to be there to begin with so there really isn't anything to worry about... remove it

A few maintenance items - The first (for me) oil change, new sway bar end links all around, fixed the rocking drivers seat, torqued all suspension bolts and hit my intermediate steering shaft with a little silicone to stop the rubbing noise. Best part - no more rocking seat!

With the rains we've been getting the last 2 days and more most of next week due to Harvey. Looking at it in the garage. Sigh!

Took the driver's power seat out to try and fix the "rocking seat". Couldn't get all the Torx screws out of the ajuster frame, put it back together and reinstalled the seat, will try again another day.

I did my drivers seat this past winter , took me about an hour plus to put in the new spacers. There are write ups on it with photos on the web. I bought my repair kit on ebay and it came with detailed photo steps.

I took 2nd Place at a local show on Sunday...not a big show, but there were around 45 cars of all makes and models. A 57 BelAir took 1st, I took 2nd and a 55 Vette took 3rd... There were some gorgeous cars there...
