Original motor died at 273k after the weather decided to flood the parking lot at my job. Before that, though, it was incredibly healthy. Stock with just headers and still put down 336 rwhp on a Mustang dyno and had good oil pressure. "New" motor is an 88k mile unit that I took apart, re-gasketed, and cammed before it went in. Trans (manual, of course) is original, but rebuilt at ~150k by PO and rear diff was replaced at 275 by me due to a whine.

Today I used a GM Tech 2 clone to auto bleed the brake system on my 2000 Coupe. Need a pressure bleeder (Motive 0108 has the correct adaptor) to perform this procedure. I used 15 psi on the Motive gauge (the service manual calls for 30 psi I was unwilling to go this high after reading about master cylinder reservoirs exploding at 25 psi). Pretty straight forward and I now have renewed confidence that the EBCM and ABS pump are flushed out and hopefully going to last for another 20+ years! The Tech 2 clone worked as advertised.

the main reason I bought the clone Tech2, now one of the most valuable tool in the tool box, used it on many of my cars and trucks !!!

Plastidipping this front plate thing, car really doesn't need to yell "Corvette" everywhere, the design of it speaks for itself.

Tacked on another 120 miles after going to Cars and Coffee Palm Beach. Afterwards, went to my job's yearly company picnic and then took a nice nap. Two days in a row of waking up at 5:30 to do long outdoor activities in the Florida sun is draining.

After plastidip spray 5 coats followed by a single wet coat of glossifier. Good enough for me. I've never plastidipped anything before and this will make a good durability test, sticking it front and center of the car bumper. Answered for me the question of whether plastidip would've been a viable option to get gloss black on my roof and halo- nah, vinyl wrap infinitely better.

Yeah, I know. I usually put it away in early November, but it's just the way things worked out this year. Fitting end to a sh*tty year for car fun for me.
Oh well, we'll try again next year...

Finally got a chance to fit my new ACI splitter over the weekend. Thankfully all of the existing mounting holes lined up perfectly from the old one. (You never know until you put it on the car, and after it’s painted ain’t the time to find out)
New splitter fitted, but bolts not completely snugged up.
Barely enough room to take pics in my small garage.
When Vengeance racing installed my supercharger, they cut the back of the splitter tray off and installed an air deflector down to the bottom of the tray to get air up to the intercooler. I had to install the OEM center air deflector back on, but it just didn’t have enough room to get adequate airflow up to the condenser and radiator, and in the summer months the car was just running warmer than I was comfortable with, sometimes hitting 230-235.
Old splitter with back of tray cut off on the left. New splitter on the right.
With the new splitter on the car the tray is still not far back enough for the air to get up to the condenser and radiator because of the added thickness of the intercooler. I dropped it off at a local custom paint and body shop today. They are going to cut the back of the tray off and extend it back an additional 2”. This will greatly increase airflow and I believe will greatly drop and stabilize my coolant temps.
Back edge of the splitter tray ends at the tape. When extended an additional 2” beyond the intercooler, should restore good airflow.
Body shop said it would be ready in a week. I’m going to have PPF put on it and the front bumper before reinstalling it, so it will be a while yet. He told me to put the splitter outside in the sun every day for at least a week to make sure the paint is cured good, before having the PPF installed on it. I knew this process would take a while, but show season is pretty much done here for the year anyway.
I cut the area behind the front license plate cover out and installed this cover with a screen. Now my intercooler gets fresh air directly from the front of the car. When the new splitter is modified, painted, and installed, my car will be a complete front breather once again. Hopefully this will eliminate so much grass, leaves, and other road debris from getting sucked up into my condenser, radiator, and supercharger air filter as well.
